MORE TH>N appoints Hood Group to launch its new travel insurance product

MORE TH>N, one of the UK’s leading providers of motor, pet and home insurance has appointed affinity insurance provider, Hood Group, to launch its new travel insurance product.

The new offering, developed by Hood Group for MORE TH>N, aims to give customers a choice of great value travel insurance packages plus a range of additional cover options including gadget cover, excess waiver, winter sports, golfing holidays and business travel. In addition, children under the age of 18 are covered free of charge under a family policy.

While some travel insurance policies exclude pre-existing medical, long-term or chronic conditions, the new Hood Group policy created for MORE TH>N, offers cover for many pre-existing medical conditions for an additional premium. The online system will allow MORE TH>N customers to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, delivering a quick and simple quote.

The MORE TH>N contract follows a competitive tender process and represents the most significant agreement that the Hood Group has entered since launching its travel proposition less than six months ago. Under the terms and conditions, Hood Group will be providing the insurance package plus a dedicated travel team to develop and implement the marketing strategy to drive sales on behalf of the MORE TH>N travel brand.

The Hood Group has appointed leading claims management and assistance provider, CEGA, to act as its claims partner for the duration of the agreement with MORE TH>N and the travel product created for MORE TH>N is underwritten by AmTrust.
